You are already aware that under power reform programmes, the distribution wing of U.P. Power Corporation Ltd has been divided into four Discoms. On account of this DVVNL have been formed which comprises of the area of Agra, Kanpur & Jhansi Commissionery.
In order to improve the existing sub transmission & distribution system for better reliability of power supply to consumers, reducing line losses, increasing revenue realization etc. APDRP scheme for the following towns have been framed as per guidelines issued by the Ministry of Power, Govt, of India and have been submitted to M/s Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. New Delhi. submitted to M/s Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. New Delhi.

The brief salient features of the above scheme are enclosed in continuation of this office letter No. 331/DVVNL/Tech/APDRP dated 6 Feb. 2004
Although APDRP scheme of some towns under DVVNL Agra were submitted prior to creation of DVVNL but no scheme of this area has so for been sanctioned. It is submitted that a number of towns under DVVNL need distribution reform work for betterment of supply to the consumers. It is, therefore, requested that the above APDRP schemes already submitted may kindly be sanctioned.
